Specifically, one such tradition is to ensure that they are seated before others, and to always offer them food first during meals as a sign of respect. Not only is it an expression of humility and grace, but also an acknowledgment of those who have laid the foundation for us. I have carried forward this valuable teaching to my company's ethos, where we prioritize serving others first.
Inspired by my entrepreneurial family, I deeply respect small businesses. With over two decades in corporate consulting, from engineering to digital marketing, I am dedicated to uplifting small enterprises, channeling their passion into enduring achievements.
My family (both parents and total of 9 uncles & aunts) were all entrepreneurs and owned small businesses. I was awestruck by their unyielding dedication, tireless work ethic, and boundless love for their ventures. I witnessed firsthand the arduous obstacles they encountered - from working long hours and missing holidays to facing constant pressure to succeed - and yet their unwavering pride in their accomplishments never faltered. This experience instilled in me a profound appreciation for the value of small businesses and the personal fulfillment that stems from entrepreneurship.
Over the past two decades, I have had the privilege of working in corporate America as a consultant, where I have helped businesses develop their brand and processes. This journey has granted me extensive practical experience and a vast knowledge base across various fields, ranging from industrial engineering and supply chain management to digital marketing and product innovations.
Now, I'm thrilled to apply my expertise and experience to a cause that truly inspires me. During my tenure at UPS spanning two decades, I have been fortunate to acquire a wide range of proficiencies in engineering, logistics and supply chain management, innovation in product design, and digital services. While leading the delivery of projects and devising bespoke solutions for organizations to optimize their operations, I remain acutely aware that there is always room for improvement and growth.
The opportunity to work on digital services and product development with reputable entities such as Nespresso, IBM, TOMS Shoes, and emerging startups including Uber, Square, Facebook, and Allbirds has been a humbling and enriching experience. I am deeply grateful for the recognition I have received for my creative contributions with two US patents. However, I firmly acknowledge that the exceptional outcomes achieved were a result of the hard work and accomplishments of the collaborative teams that I was fortunate to lead.
