A real website launch is much more than simply pressing a publish button. The process begins after the prototype has already been reviewed and all pages are considered ready. From there, a structured checklist is used. First, the basic information is verified: phone number, email address, physical address, and any other key business details. Then the written content is checked for typos, errors, or incorrect information. After that, the media is reviewed to make sure the correct photos and videos are in place and that any stock assets are copyright-safe. Next comes functionality testing. Contact forms are tested, booking systems are tested, and if there is payment integration, even a test payment is submitted.
A crucial final step is registering the website with Google Search Console and submitting correct sitemaps, followed by a 4- to 5-day monitoring period for uptime and performance. Eliu Lopez suggested incorporating 1 Stop Link's unique benefits, like providing personalized support throughout the potentially complicated launch process, to emphasize the value they offer.
Uh question we get here at 1 Stop link all the time is what happens during a website launch. Uh well we typically go through a checklist of items. Um so we would already went through the entire prototype with the client. You know we're going to have all the pages ready. you know from the basic homepages, about pages, contact page uh to the local SEO pages. So all the pages are ready and the design is fully ready. Um so and then we would have a launch session where you know we go through number one you know are the basic information correct? You know is your phone number correct? Is your email correct? Is your address correct? So that would be the first step and the second step would be you know is there any typos on the website you know is there any kind of incorrect information on the website. Uh and that would be the second step and then following that it would be the use of images or videos or any kind of media types you know we would go over that you know to see if we have all the correct pictures in place.
uh if there is any stock images you know uh do we want to replace that with you know real photos uh or you know and also we want to make sure that all the stock images on the website are copyright safe um so that so you get that and then after that it would be testing out the functionalities on the website such as uh contact form so you would want to submit a test contact form to make sure it goes through and uh the client's email can receive that and and reply to it. Uh and then if you have a booking integration on the website, you know, we would submit like a test appointment to make sure that goes through. Uh and the client is able to see the appointment on their end. Uh if they have a payment integration, you know, we we would submit a test payment, you know, either um um a mock or live, you know, maybe for a dollar, you know, just to make sure it goes through. Um so and also uh always want to make sure that we register their website on Google search console if they have an SEO project with us.
Uh so that's the crucial step when it comes to SEO. Always want to make sure you register your website on Google search console and always want to make sure you submit the correct site maps on there as well. Uh so sitemap for your entire site including all the regular pages, all the blog pages, all the local SEO pages uh and all that. Uh and um also looping back to the contact form, you know, nowadays you always want to make sure that you have um anti-PAM filter in enabled. Uh so that's you know back in the day is when you see the fire hydrant or you know pick out fire hydrants or pick out bicycles. Uh so spam filter is you know uh way more sophist way more sophisticated than that. So nowadays it's automatically filtered but nonetheless you should have a spam filter on the contact form. Uh so going through the checklist making sure everything's in place and then we would launch it on the client's domain and then make sure that goes through and then that would complete the launch and even after that we would have a uh I would say four to five days of monitoring period where we constantly monitor the uptime of the website making sure all the pages work making sure the clients getting all the emails uh making sure their phone numbers are going through uh and also
